Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal . When this is combined with the fact that it offers unparalleled views and stunning panoramas. It makes this trekking peak one of the most sought after mountaineering trips in Nepal . Mera Peak is never particularly technically difficult, but there is the altitude to contend with which makes this an exciting and challenging trip. We fly to Lukla and trek in to the Hinku Valley over the Zatrwa La. After careful acclimatization and some instruction to ensure that we will be safe on the mountain we set up the Base Camp at the Mera La. From here we can make our summit bid and enjoy the views of the Khumbu Himal to our north. Then we head north towards of the Mingmo- La Pass, which gives us access to the Khumbu valley beyond. It also means that we do not have to retrace our steps, giving us a circular journey and chance to explore different regions during the trip. There are spare days allocated in the itinerary for acclimatization and in case of bad weather.

There are around 4500 people who lives inside the park and more dependent in timber and firewood. The majority of people stays here are Tamangs. This trekking trail gives you the oppurtunity to explore the villages, climb small peaks, visit glaciers at comfortably low elevations. This trek is only for 7-8 days but you will see more life here. Tibetan people lives here so there are more chances for you to see the culture of tibetan people and Tibetan influence is clearly visible here in this region.

The Langtang valley called "the valley of glaciers". Here, mountains rise shinning towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow - capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primula.

This is an 8 days trekking and 1-rest day. It is a combine camping and home stay and lodge package. The area is north of Kathmandu. The journey to the trail head (and back to Kathmandu) takes about a whole day.

You will make an interesting trek through Thamang area. They are descendants from Tibet and have hardly seen any tourists. There culture is virtually untouched. There are still bears, leopards, red panda’s and musk deer that however are no danger. In March and April the Rhododendron forests have many different species of trees, birds and butterflies

Starting from Gorkha (the ancestral home of the Nepalese monarchy and of the famous Nepalese Infantrymen, the trail passes through primitive villages where the people are shy, often running away from the camera wielding trekkers. From Nyak the trails continues westward towards Namru via the Village of Ghap.

An awesome trekking in Nepal
This trek was officially opened to tourist in 1991, but Mountaineering expeditions have long had access to the area. In 1950 a party led by HW Tilman trekked from Thonje to Bimtang and colonel Jimmy Roberts crossed. The Larkya La looking for an interesting Mountain to climb. Manaslu (8156m) was attempted by Japanese expeditions every year from 1952 until 1956, When the First ascent was made. It Thus became known as a Japanese Mountain , and much of the information about the area was available only in Japanese. A few trekkers, including the Peripatetic hugh swift Hugh Swift , Managed to obtain Trekking Permits for this region, but otherwise this trek has always been the domain of the Mountaineering expedition. The Book Honey Hunters of Nepal, by Eric Valli and Dianne Summers, makes good background reading for this area.

This Trek s is geographically Spectacular and culturally fascinating. Culturally Fascinating. The inhabitants of the upper Buri Gandaki, a region known as Nupri ( ' the western Mountain ' ) are direct descendants of Tibetan immigrants. Their speech, dress and Customs are almost exclusively Tibetan. There is still continuous trads trade between Nupuri Nupri and Tibet . Trekking in Nepal.
Geographical Background:
Mustang is situated beyond the two mighty Himalayan ranges namely Annapurna and Dhaulagiri at the upper reaches of Kali Gandaki River. With the population of over 5000 people distributed in over 30 villages located along the riverbanks it stretches 2350 sq. km. in size with altitude ranging from 3000m to 6000m. The tipical features of this are the high winds that blow daily from around 10 am until sunset and being essentially in the trans-himalayan range there is very little rain which mostly falls durring summer months.

Historical Background:
The history of Mustang dates to the 8th century during the reign of the powerful and religious King Trison Detsen of Tibet. During this period the Buddhist doctrine was spread and according to the "Molla" a local historical document which traces the lineage of the kings of Mustang, relates the advent od Buddhism and the subsequent historical developements of Mustang, a much later descendent of Trisong Detsen migrated to Mustang and lived there. One of his son, Mae Pal, rose to be a powerful; lord and defeated the local chieftains in the Dozens(castle) that dominated Mustang. Even today, the ruins of ketcher Dzong (which belongs to Ame Pal) can be seen on the ridge overlooking Lo Manthang. Ame Pal later built the wall city of Lo Manthang as his capital ofter he had conqured the forts in his region and unified the country in the middle of the 15-century.

Throughout the sixteen to the eighteen centuries Mustang had difficult relations with the kings of Jumla to which it eventually succunbed in the mid-eighteen century as a result of which it had to pay an annual tribute. But after King Prithivi Narayan Shaha of Gorkha conquered Jumla, the tribute was transferred to the Gorkha Kings and thus became a subject of Nepal. The kingdom of Mustang was formally annexed to the unified modern state of Nepal in 1946.

Culture And Religion:
The culture and religion reflects the strong affinity of Mustang with Tibet with its landscape, language, the people, monasteries, ruined forts, and the stark Tibetian plateau-like region.. The main religion practised in the region is Buddhism. Except for a few of the Nyingma and Kargyupa sect, the monasteries are the entire Sakya (Ngorpa) sect.

The people of this region has three basic seasonal activities like in the spring they plough and sow the fields, in the summer they live in tents in the high grazing grounds of their goaths, mules and horses and in winter when it is too cold they go on trading trips to Kathmandu, India and some far as up to the cities of Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The community as it used to be in Tibet, based on a feudal system with grading ranging from the kings and nobility to the lower calsses such as the blacksmiths and the butchers. The family is closely knit and polyandry is practised.

Although no proper study on the wildlife has been made in the region however, abundance of wildlife is found in the higher reaches in the Damodar Kund area at the base of the Damodar Himal, which is considered a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhist alike. Generally birds like lark, finch, raven, the bearded vulture and the Himalayan griffin vulture can b seen and animals like Blue sheeps, Marco Polo sheep (Argali), Himalayan wolf and the rare and exclusive snow leopard are found in the Damodar Hund region.

CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Chitwan National Park is one of the best planned and well developed tourist destinations in southern Nepal. Highlights of the Chitwan Jungle are elephant rides to see the elusive Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinos and bisons and a tour of the Tharu village to explore this people's culture.
The park covers a pristine area with a unique ecosystem of significant value to the world. It con tains the Churiya hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains of Rapti, Reu and Narayani Rivers. Approximately 70% of the park vegetation is sal forest. The remaining vegetation types include grassland (20%), riverine forest (7%), and sal with chirpine (3%), the latter occurring at the top of the Churiya range. The riverine forests consist mainly of khair, sissoo and simal.The grassland forms a diverse and complex community with over 50 species. The Saccharun species, often called elephant grass, can reach 8 m. in height. The shorter grasses such as Imperata are useful for thatch roofs.
There are more than 43 species of mammals in the park. The park is especially renowned for the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, the tiger and the gharial crocodile along with many other common species such as gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin, Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard and python.
Other animals found in the park include the sambar, chital, hog deer, barking deer, sloth bear, palm civet, langur and rhesus monkey.

Tsum Valley Trekking
Aptly called the "hidden valley", Tsum valley is loacated in the remote northern Gorkha region of Nepal. The valley is nestled between the Baudha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Sringi Himal to the north. Owing to its distant location, inadequate information and promotion, trekking route to this region was only opened in October, 2007.

'Tsum' which is derived from the Tibetan word 'Tsombo' means vivid. True to its meaning Tsum valley till date has closely guarded its distinct and natural treasures of clear streams, teeming vegetation, towering mountain, cascading waterfalls, unspoiled hot springs and ancient relics still intact. One of interesting feature of this trek is the people and their unique culture and lifestyle that they still follow.
